So I connected my USB keyboard and mouse to a USB to ps/2 adapter and they do no work.  I can hear a noise when plugged in but it won't work.  Do I need a native ps/2 keyboard and mouse?

Oh ok.  Perhaps it's different now. I will check those out.  I am getting an editing keyboard that is USB so I won't be able to use the ps/2 adapter then.

I feel like an idiot. I had then reversed and that is why the ps/2 is not working but now they are with the adapters.
