Product: HP Z840 Workstation
Hi there. I have a z840 from 2016 with:
NVIDIA NVS 310 1GB PROMO graphics card
2 Xeon E5-2650v4 2.2 2400 12C CPU2PROMs
HP Z Turbo Drive G2 512GB PCIe SSD
HP Dreamcolor Z27x Monitor
I’m looking to upgrade graphics and bought the following.
Nvidia Quadro M4000 Graphics CardSTK G187
Any advice for a relative newbie on hardware configs how to approach this upgrade?
I can update the drivers for the new card and have it work with the old one for a while but it crashes with a blue screen of death. If I try the new cars alone I can’t get the monitor to work.
Im using driver easy to update drivers and running diagnostics. Would be grateful for any typos
