This mismatch often happens because your PC checks for driver updates through Windows Update, which may not always provide the latest versions for your hardware. 

Games, on the other hand, often require drivers directly from the hardware manufacturer, such as NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel.

 

To resolve this:

  1. Visit your GPU manufacturer's website (e.g., NVIDIA or AMD) and download the latest driver for your specific graphics card model.
  2. Use tools like GeForce Experience (for NVIDIA) or AMD Radeon Software to ensure your drivers are up-to-date.
  3. If the issue persists, perform a clean installation of the driver using a tool like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to remove old driver remnants.
