a6452f sata controller on new harddrive.

Product Name: hp a6452f
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista

hi i have hp a6452f machine with windows 32bit and western digital 640gb harddrive that it came with. i bought seagate  1tb harddrive  and install it. now i did factory recovery using the cd. and i get this message (windows setup cannot install windows on this hardware). now the harddrive sata port is set to achi. now i did set it to ide and it worked. but i think achi is little faster on newer harddrive alittle so i did another recovery. anyway i was wondering when you update the driver for intel sata controller by dowladoing dose it stay on intel chip or on harddrive? so in future if i do another recovery i wondpw get that message again.

It will stay on hard drive and in the future if you perform another recovery you will need to reinstall it.

Hope it helps,
