My computer won't turn on. I think it might possiby be the cord or ac power adapter. Is there a way to test the cord? How would I go about getting a replacement? Would I have to pay for it? If I do have to buy it and it turns out that the cord or adapter isn't the issue can I return it for a refund or do I just have to eat the money?

What model # on the HP 600 ?? Pick.
In general terms:
1) Verify the wall plug had power. Use a lamp.
2) Is that a molded cord or does it plug into the Power Brick? The plug-in style could have backed out. Unplug and then firmly seat the cord into the Power Brick.
3) Did you ever notice an LED light on the Power Brick.
