I currently have a total of 64 GB's of SDRAM in this three-year-old unit (HyperX® 64 GB DDR4-2933 XMP RGB SDRAM [4 x 16 GB] ). Can I safely increase that to 128GB with 4-thirty-two GB sticks? Thanks for the help.

Hi @PMA53,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
The OMEN 25L Desktop - GT12-022qd CTO supports up to 64GB of RAM according to HP's specifications. It's equipped with HyperX® 64 GB DDR4-2933 XMP RGB SDRAM, which consists of 4 x 16GB sticks.
Here are a few considerations regarding increasing RAM beyond the current 64GB:
Motherboard Limitations: The motherboard in your OMEN 25L desktop may have a limitation of 64GB RAM, which means it might not support more than that even if you physically install more RAM sticks.
Compatibility: Even if you could install 32GB sticks (for a total of 128GB), compatibility with the motherboard and CPU (memory controller) needs to be verified. Some systems might not recognize or utilize more RAM than they are designed for.
BIOS Support: The BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) must also support the larger memory configuration. Older BIOS versions may not properly recognize or configure 32GB modules.
Performance Impact: Increasing RAM beyond what is supported or required by your system's typical usage (like gaming or general computing) may not provide noticeable performance improvements and could potentially be wasteful in terms of cost.
Note: Before upgrading, I recommend you contact phone support for more details via remote assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
