Hi, I have an HP All in One Desktop PC --with Ryzen processor. It runs on Windows 11.
There is a cable you plug in when you turn it on. It has a light on even when the PC is off.
My question is, should I unplug that cable after I turn off the PC or leave it on all night?
thanks very much for your help!

Disconnect the cable if there is a possibility of an electrical storm and a lightening strike on your location.
If you routinely allow your desktop to sleep instead of turning if off then unplugging the system can cause data loss.

Make sure it actually shuts down before pulling the plug.
When you turn in on afterwards, check the windows event viewer for a message such as "unexpected shutdown at xxx "
Do this at least once to ensure there is no application that is refusing to allow the system to shutdown.

Now that you mention that, sometimes it doesn't actually shut down. The screen turns off as if it were on standby, but if I press any key to wake it up, it doesn't respond.
So that's when I will turn it off by holding the on/off button for about 10 seconds.
Then what happens next time I boot it up, I get a message "the PC did not shut down correctly. press the button to restore your Chrome pages."
I have to take it to a shop to see why this is happening.
I sense that it's getting overheated. I'm running a fan while it's on to keep it from overheating.
thanks for your help!
