i have a Hp ENVY Desktop 750-424 can i install a geforce GTX 1050 i see it only has a 300 watt power supply

You did not mention what card, just the GTX 1050.

The minimum PSU is 300W.  Some GTX 1050 cards do have an additional PCIE 6 oin power input, like the EVGA 1050 FTX dual fan with a length of 10.5'.  The single fan version is short, at 5.7", and does not require added power. As your motherboard is 9.4 x 9.4, my opinion is that you selected the shorter length card.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
