DeepCool LE300 AIO compatible with HP 590 p0116ur or nah?

@590_p0016ur_fan,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

The DeepCool LE300 AIO (All-in-One) liquid cooler is not compatible with the HP Pavilion 590-p0116ur (6SU89EA) as fitted with the Sunflower motherboard (SSID: 8433) due to the following reasons:

1. Limited Internal Space:

  • The HP Pavilion 590 series is a small mid-tower with limited space inside the case. This AIO liquid cooler requires a mounting location for a 120mm radiator, but HP's prebuilt 590-series chassis lacks a dedicated radiator mounting point such as found in gaming PC cases and your case does not have brackets or clearance for a 120mm radiator and fan setup.

  • Your 590-p0116ur motherboard (HP proprietary) is designed for air cooling with a standard AM4 socket CPU cooler mounting system.

2. BIOS & PWM Control Limitations:

  • Many HP desktops do not allow full fan speed/PWM control via BIOS, which could result in poor performance or errors with an aftermarket AIO cooler.

  • Your PC does not have a dedicated "CPU_AIO" motherboard power connector with PWM AIO pump control.

3. Alternative Cooling Options:

  • Not to leave you completely stranded, if you are looking for better cooling, consider a high-performance air cooler specifically the premium Noctua NH-L9x65 Chromax Black Low-Profile CPU Cooler or an equivalent low-profile Thermalright cooler that fits within your case dimensions.

Final Verdict: Not Recommended:

Unless you're willing to heavily modify the case (cutting sheet metal, drilling holes, removing drive cages, etc.), the DeepCool LE300 AIO will not be an easy fit for the HP 590-p0116ur. Stick to a good air cooler for better compatibility and relatively hassle-free installation as shown in this YouTube instructional video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5RUVrYV0Z8&t=20s&ab_channel=TechNitWit.

Please don't misunderstand me: I haven't yet shied away from (substantially) modifying HP desktop cases, such as I did in this comparative to your PC upgrade project: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Upgrading-an-HP-Pavilion-TP01-3..., but using an AIO is one bridge too far.

Kind Regards,
