Own several HP computers .. have steadily upgraded over the years .. just bought a bare 800 g4 to upgrade. Bought an I7-8700 (havent received yet) and would like to populate with components to stay close enough to modern to run Win11 efficiently. Would like to be able to possibly run some of the newer flight simulator software and have ssd drive for o/s speed,  possibly a hdd drive for storage. Figured 32mb of fastest ram it will take as well as a modern wireless card for it to do bluetooth-etc. May need a separate video card. Opening the case I see the motherboard has 2 board connections titled ssd1 and ssd2 that appear to be for the bare card style of ssd drive? 3 L-shaped plugs sata0, sata1, sata2 one of which is taken by the dvd drive that is in the box. The tilt-up bay looks like it would house 2 full size 3.5 drives but nothing is in them. I do have a WD 500gb 3d nand ssd drive but dont see how to mount it. Looks like it fits the power plug umbilical and its L-plug would plug into an open sata jack on motherboard. Do have a WD 500GB PATA drive thought might work but looks like cant be used with this motherboard...
