@DA19 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that HP support assistance is slow working.

Do not worry. I will try to help you in this regard.

HP Support Assistant is useful app but is not mandatory for your PC. If it causes you issues, you can safely uninstall it.

Click on Start, type control.exe

Open Control Panel > Programs and features

Find HP Support Assistant and uninstall it

Find HP Support framework and uninstall it

Restart the PC

You can attempt to manually download the latest drivers from HP >> https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

and install them one by one manually

Alternatively, rely on Windows Updates and Device Manager >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03330139

With Windows 10 (and 8.1) you can be sure that Windows will automatically download and install important and security driver updates.
