I bought exactly this product from HP : omen 870-280nz 3 years ago, here is à link from HP website with all product details

. I had some problems with temperature since long time with CPU Intel i7 7700k, He never has worked properly and take a regular shutdown for Temperatur excess, i know this is an issue with this intel cpu and he need à better CPU cooler to works properly. Now its time for me to upgrade some components, but HP motherboard and PC BOX are very specific and it is difficult to know what is compatible or not with them.

Can you help me please.

The motherboard model from this product is : Thimphu-K

My questions are:

1) Can I put an RTX 3080 graphic card inside?

2) Which CPU cooler is compatible with the motherboard and easy to find for a purchase ?

3) its is possible to upgrade CPU from intel i7 7700k to intel i9 gen with this motherboard ?

My questions are:

1) Can I put an RTX 3080 graphic card inside? The PCIe slot on the motherboard is v. 3.0.  This is what the RTX 3080 requires.  However, read the article that I provided to make certain that the card you choose will fit into the space with good airflow.  Otherwise, you will have another heating problem.  These cards develop a lot of heat.  Also, you will most likely have to upgrade your PSU.  Here are the specifications of the card from nVidia: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/30-series/rtx-3080/?ncid=afm-chs-44270&ranMID=44...

2) Which CPU cooler is compatible with the motherboard and easy to find for a purchase ? Since HP has their motherboards made to their specifications, your best option would be to contact one of the cooler manufacturer's Tech Support to see what they have that will work.

3) its is possible to upgrade CPU from intel i7 7700k to intel i9 gen with this motherboard ? No!  The i7-7700K is the fastest processor that will work in your motherboard.  The i9 series processors require a 300 series motherboard.
