I have an hpc-337c Pavilion PC with at 300 watt power supply. I want to upgrade the video card to an 8GB card. However, the video card specifications call for a minimum 450 watt power supply with an 8 pin power connector for the card.
I realize the PC is 9+ years old but it has 16GB memory, upgraded hard drives, external drives, monitor, etc.
I see there are several vendors who offer higher wattage power supplies, but I have no way of knowing what will fit inside my hpe-337c case. Does anyone know of a higher power supply that will fit my hpe-337c Pavilion case?

Please stop now. Your unit is circa 2010, and has a BIOS that can not be upgraded. It can not use modern graphic cards (manufactured after Aug 2012).
