i want to ask that if i could put an rx 470 in my z420 workstation

i want to ask about the mobo name and the upgrade compatibilaty of rx 470 in my z420 workstation

as the quadro k2000 is not a good option in todays standards

  • has to fit slot and not hit things, like card cages etc. to the RIGHT.
  • must not overload PSU  the card needs 125 watts all by is self.
  • it has AUX ports on Card , the cables to the PSU must be connected.  yours does have AUX, and must be connected
  • and not overheat the case , inside or all things inside not overheating.
  • not go UEFI secure boot ,  dead or odd. (only trying matters) legacy boot does. best.

I have  z600 and has 2 AUX cables and can run 250watt card, just about any card on earth in fact. w10 drivers available.

 

no real card told, not URL to real card with full SKU number so I can see what it really has for AUX

some are 1,2, cables and mix of 6 and  8 pins, so SKU tell that to me, and nothing else. or photos of your top rear.

 

sub models vary !!

this one is just one 6pin.  one cable only others cards with more VRAM or other features "OC" may have 2.
