I'm working on a PC that was brought to me in several pieces, a HP Pavilion 590-p0000 Desktop PC. I have been able to replace the power supply, and get the PC working. However there is a loose wire that I'm trying to find a connection for. It leads from a small component on the front/inside lower part of the PC cabinet. I have tried googling the information on the part, but have not been successful. I don't even know what the part is for. It's about the size of a large paper clip. Could it possibly be a ground? I'm including a photo of the part with about 8" of wire leading inside the case ending in a very small snap on connection. Thank you.

The other end of that wire, which is an antenna cable, goes to your PC's wireless card, that will be lying flat on the motherboard.
It will look something like this...the wire snaps over the terminal pictured on the upper right side of the wifi card.
The picture below is about 4x the actual size of the card.
