Motherbaord has a m sata port but no place to anchor. Any suggestions if i can install a m sata drive?

I don't understand what you mean.
but see for example this, it allows to use a small reader in order to optimize windows ..
it is a particular configuration.
But if you want to boost your computer, just use a SAta SSD with windows installed on it

I wanted to know if the m sata port on the motherboard was for a ssd. But i took your advice
and bought a ssd and adapter for the hard drive slot...
