Hi:

You should be able to update the microcode with the new processor you installed.

After you update the microcode and restart the PC, the error should be gone.

Hi:

According to the HP Quickspecs at the link below, the P4-630 should be supported.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to update the Microcode.

If the file doesn't run on W7, you may need to have a PC running XP to create the bootable floppy disk that you boot from to update the microcode.

And you will need a floppy disk drive (internal or USB).   The microcode can only be updated via a floppy disk, no exceptions or workarounds.

HOW TO USE:

  1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.
  2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

Where can I find a floppy? How many mb should I have a sewing machine or a cnc machine?
I live in turkey. Don't I have a chance to update with a USB flash drive?

Hi:

You can only use a USB FDD.

The floppy disks you need are the 3.5" 1.44 MB size.

Here is the cheapest USB Floppy disk drive I could find.
