I installed pentium 4 630 to my hp compaq 5100 but it gives micro code error, how can I do this uptade update. Can you help me?
By the way, although it does not give micro code error, the machine is working and processing but I want to update it generally.

According to the HP Quickspecs at the link below, the P4-630 should be supported.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to update the Microcode.
If the file doesn't run on W7, you may need to have a PC running XP to create the bootable floppy disk that you boot from to update the microcode.
And you will need a floppy disk drive (internal or USB). The microcode can only be updated via a floppy disk, no exceptions or workarounds.
HOW TO USE:
- Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.
- Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

Hi:
You can only use a USB FDD.
The floppy disks you need are the 3.5" 1.44 MB size.
Here is the cheapest USB Floppy disk drive I could find.
