hi

In general, if you restart the computer, and you immediately press the open button, if it is a problem under windows it will work
Otherwise, it may be defective.
Also try the rescue system!

if a cd is stuck in it

what is the rescue system exactly?

just follow this

Look for the small hole on the faceplate of the disc drive. This is the manual release hole. The location of the manual release hole will vary.
note:
On some models, it is necessary to remove the front panel to expose the manual release hole. Check the documentation that came with your computer for information about removing the front panel.

oh, and if your wondering, the DVD drive has the Host Interface and Power plugged into the drive.

Hi

sorry, I gave the solution since you simply indicated not being able to open it, if on the other hand it is not visible in windows, it is another problem!
Either following manipulation, a possible bug, or defective DVD player
You need to say a little more

In the meantime, have you tried everything offered here?

CD/DVD drive is not detected (Windows 10)
