hi , i just got a new cpu for my p2 , the sorport page says it is supported but the pc wont boot to windows .... im trying to go from a Celeron G465 to  a i3-2100 , please help

As an upgrade/custom enthusiast I personally love the idea of upgrading the device as well, however, HP recommends that you go easy on it as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance and also, the upgrade-able parts listed on HP website are purely for your ease, though the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion.

 

I recommend you to check with a local technician to identify why it's not working.
