What non-HP 500-600w psu works with the HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop? It's very hard to find an official HP one that isn't price gouged.

I saw crafts on youtube
classic power supply, cut the original power supply, in order to recover and connect the HP power supply connector..
but if we are wrong, its risk of grilling everything

Darn. I hope HP moves away from propriety power supplies, but I understand why they would make them proprietary. Thanks!
