I've been thinking about upgrading my Omen from 16 to 32gig RAM
but i'm confused about a couple things.
#1 when i scan my computer it says i have the Tampa 2 motherboard.
this board says it can go to 32gig, on the HP site, but i'm confused
if i can use 2 16gig sticks or i need 4x8gig.
#2 when i use the Kingston memory search, under 880-130,
it says instead that it can go to 64 gig and use 16gig sticks.
(i've tried other scans but the newegg scan doesn't include the 130 model
and crucial refuses to work on this PC; it fails every time.)
any insight would be useful.

According to the specs on the HP site, your motherboard has 4 x DDR4 RAM slots. You need to use PAIRS. Max 8GB per module, Max 32GB total. So you would need 4 x 8GB PC4-19200 modules to achieve 32GB.
Brand *shouldn't* matter, but I would suggest Samsung, Kingston or SK Hynix.
