I've got a Pavilion Wired Keyboard 300. Funny enough, HP's website doesn't recognize this model nor its serial number.
The problem is that I have to keep the Function button pressed to have access to normal FX keys. I'd expect that I should send the "F1" signal by pressing "F1", and "mute audio" signal pressing "Fn" and "F1", but it works the other way around.
There is not much info about that kind of issue in the internet, but I found similar topic on this forum ( https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Wireless-keyboard-fn-key-on-by-... - "press 'Fn' and 'Esc' to switch between function modes"; https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Locking-Function-Keys-or-disabl... - "'Fn' + 'CapsLock' and update BIOS" ) and few others in different places (recommending switching some keys - like Scroll Lock or NumLock) but nothing worked for me so far.
I tested this keyboard with another PC on Windows 7 64 bit, and it behaves in the same way.
With the keyboard, I received legal notes and warranty info, but not the manual per se.
How can I fix this issue?
Best regards,
Miliano
