I attempted to upgrade my ram to a corsair vengeance 2x8gb 3200mhz ram kit,but it wont run above 2133mhz. I've managed to gather online that i should be able to change it via the bios, but that hp neglected to include that option. Is there a workaround?

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Sadly and unfortunately, there is no work-around. The Corsair Vengeance's 2133 MHz is the fastest it will ever run thanks -not just because you don't have XMP access, but also because Corsair lowered its SPD (default) RAM speed to 2133 MHz.
Best solution? -Return this RAM to Sender and get your hard-earned money back, and purchase quality Samsung or Crucial RAM. Yeah, this may not look as fancy as the Corsair but performs good enough for gaming and other high-demand purposes.
Kind Regards,
