Product: HP Compaq 8000 Elite convertible minitower
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

 

I bought a 250Gb MX500 SSD for my HP Compaq 8000 Elite convertible minitower.  I am able to see the drive but installation of windows 7 fails. With the HP CD's that came with the minitower at almost the end an error message appears saying incompatible hardware. I have tried another Win7 CD and Error code 0x80070017 happens.

 

BIOS has been updated to latest version

7Gb RAM

 

Any tips?
