I would like to up grade my graphics card to start gaming. What would be the best choice for me?

@patyc , welcome to the forum.

The new video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS: https://www.howtogeek.com/56958/HTG-EXPLAINS-HOW-UEFI-WILL-REPLACE-THE-BIOS/

HP didn't begin using UEFI in their computers until mid-October, 2012.  The last series of cards not to require UEFI were the GTX 660/670's.  If you can find either of these cards you will have to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU), also.  Your PSU is only 250W.

I have to be honest!  Your computer is only going to run very low-end games on low settings even with the upgrade.
