hi .......
i have a hp 6200 compaq pro with a gt 1030 gpu and 500w power suplly .
i want to upgrade the gpu so i was thinking of buying a gtx 1660 super but i don't know if it will work on my pc as it rather old so if anyone can help me ????

@kerolos-elia-12 , welcome to the forum.
According to the information that I could find on your computer it was released in 2011. This means that it most likely doesn't have UEFI in the motherboard: https://www.howtogeek.com/56958/HTG-EXPLAINS-HOW-UEFI-WILL-REPLACE-THE-BIOS/
HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012. This means that the GTX 1660 Super will not be compatible with your motherboard. The last series to not require UEFI are the GTX 660/670's.
