@Orlanddo_gl,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

There is some conflicting information regarding your HP RP5 Retail System Model 5810.

On the one hand: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-rp5-retail-system-model-5810/6950957/document/c04281048, states that its motherboard has the Intel Q67 express chipset, and specifies "Intel 2nd generation Core i7 processors i7-2600" as the best you can install, but then the manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04297097.pdf shows that the 4th gen Intel Core i7-4770s is compatible, which happens to be confirmed by real-world Model 5810 Users here: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-RP5-Retail-System-Model-5810/13171.

Making it short: the Intel i7-4770S is the best processor for your desktop.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

@Orlanddo_gl,

And looking here: https://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/Intel/Core_i7/i7-4770S.html, it appears that the i7-4790 should also be compatible, and indeed, here is a Model 6810 rig fitted with the i7-4790 -despite its higher TDP of 84 watt: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/46033280.

The i7-4790 can be purchased via eBay, starting at around $50.
