Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

HW prob.  Pushing the popup webcam does not ddo anything.  Camera remains in its hide-e-hole

After looking at this how to remove video you might want to consider attaching a cheap web cam to the top of the system.

How dumb do I feel?  Explaining my problem to my wife, she  pointed out that the camera still had shipping tape on it!  Removed the tape and all is well.  I am somewhat comforted by the fact that 3 hours on the phone with HP Support, No One suggested I check the back of the machine!
