I see this has not been responded to in nearly a month -- so I wanted to close this out rather than leaving it hanging.
Your thread says you are running Vista Business -- and the problem with THAT is that no one, including HP, has carried Recovery Media for that for quite a few years. So, there is nothing you will be able to get to restore the PC to working condition.
