8 gb Ram in Hp products to beware of

This would have been helpful before I bought this product. Sounds like a case for the BBB

Looks like your machine has AMD processor with Integrated AMD Radeon™ Vega 3 Graphics.  Your machine has 8GB therefore system has some SPARE system RAM to assign to Integrated AMD graphics. And that is NORMAL.


No worries, system will work this out and it will take back RAM from Integrate graphics when required.

This document below explains the reason why certain PC's are having that issue.


Yes, it is normal for certain models, which are listed in the document--but I don't believe its because of the graphics memory allocation.


This seems to only apply to models with AMD processors and chipsets.
