Hi People!
Is there a BIOS update for HP Pavilon 15-au150sa still available? I have this fossil, still working perfectly, I only have problem with the battery identification/calibtation. I got a new battery just recently, the system recognized and calibrated, but Im afraid its gonna die rather early as happened before. Just out of curiosity I ran a battery check in HP Assiatant Manager this morning, and it said no battery. I have no idea what the issue can be, but Im thinking about a BIOS update maybe would rectify this.
Any idea, dont hold it back, please!
Have a lovely one!

Hi:
Below is the link to the latest BIOS update HP has for your notebook.
HP Pavilion - 15-au150sa Software and Driver Details
Updating the BIOS may actually fix the problem you are having because if you look at the release notes for the previous F.45 & F.42 those address issues with the battery:
F.45: Fixed in this release: - Fixes an intermittent issue where the system battery does not recharge completely. - Provides the updated Intel CPU microcode to improve system stability and security.
F.42: Fixed in this release: - Fixes an issue where the battery information is reported incorrectly. - Provides improved battery health when the system is connected to an AC adapter. - Provides improved security of UEFI code.
See this link for how to update the BIOS:

Hi, Paul!
Thank you very much for the link, i could not find one. I dowloaded it, and unfortunately i cannot thick the BIOS update box, because it says that "the BIOS update on this device is blocked.
If you can help me with this too thats highly appreciated, meantime I"ll try to solve it.
Kind Regards

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why you are getting that message or what to do about it.
I don't recommend that you force the issue though because there must be a reason why the notebook is rejecting the update.
Perhaps try one of the older versions first that are listed under the Revision History section on that link I posted that may be newer than what your notebook currently has installed.
I don't understand why the BIOS updates appear to be out of sequence under the revision history section though.
Usually, the oldest one is listed first. Here HP lists F.45 is the oldest, then F.48, but then it goes back to F.42, then F.52, then back to F.46, etc. Makes no sense.

Hi,
You know I thought it must be some a matter of enable/disable switch in bios menu for allowing updates. I even found a related video on YouTube where the guy did it in his hp you pavilon But he had a totally different menu then I have, no bios update switch I could find.
this hp I have killed at least 2-3 batteries in a period of 2 years let’s say, and it is due to this issue I guess. The latest bios update it uses is from 2018. That means since hasn’t been upadated, eighteenth the previous owner didn’t care/know about it or just had the same issue.
Anyway, thanks again.
