HP ENVY 700
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Anytime my computer is powered on, powered down, or enters Sleep Mode, there is a loud pop in the speakers. This began with the upgrade to Windows 10. I'm using my trusty HP ENVY 700-074 machine, with an on-board CPU Beats Audio sound card. This was never a problem with Windows 7 or previous operating systems.  There are no issues with the sound quality or general functionality, other than the annoying "POP" when it enters sleep mode in the middle of the night, or otherwise as described above. I see various links to download driver packages, but I'm a bit confused as to which one will solve the issue or render the card completely useless. I'm using a set of Boston speakers from an old Gateway I had years ago that produce increadible sound. Since I upgraded to Windows 10,  I've done many fruitless searches on HP's site, Youtube and Google from time to time without any results pertenant to my issue. Any help would be appreciated

Hi:

What is the driver version of the audio driver installed?

There are no W10 IDT audio drivers for your PC on the support page.

I provide this driver to any forum member that has issues with the IDT/Beats audio system when there are no W10 drivers available.

This driver is from the slightly newer HP 700-500 model series.

No one on this forum has reported the specific problem you are having though.

Normally, there is no sound at all after upgrading from W7 > W10 on desktop PC's like yours.
