Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I reinstalled Window 10 to solve a seperate issue and then I could no longer access external harddrive as now locked with Bitlocker, which I have never used. 

Microsoft say it might be caused by an HP update which occured after reinstallation of Windows.

How do I get in?

I understand you have a concern related to Bitlocker. No worries, I'll be glad to help you.

 

BitLocker Drive Encryption is available only on Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise. You have Windows 10 installed on your PC.

More over Bitlocker is available only on Commercial products and not on consumer products. 

 

In this scenario, I would suggest you contact our HP support team for further assistance.

Hi Jeet, thanks for getting in touch.  My HPSpectre is no longer under Warranty So I am not sure Suuport can help.

Microsoft after much denial and deliberation have suggested  "disabling secure boot"   or conatcting local technician!  Not sure that is a good idea
