Bought this all-in-one pc a week or so ago. When switching on I get either a blank screen straight away or the HP Logo followed by a blank screen. If I leave the pc switched on for a few minutes it sometimes opens up ok.
most annoying with new £2K pc.

> Will disabling "app readiness" cause other problems?
Yes, according to some posts on this HP forum.
But, their suggestion is to "enable" that 'App Readiness' service before rebooting, if Windows Update is requiring a reboot after installing some specific updates. Then, after reboot, "disable" again.

>>> Product Name: HP Envy 27-b109na

That page lists many "Envy" products:
HP ENVY Notebook PC
HP ENVY m7 Notebook PC
HP ENVY x360
HP HP ENVY 750-5xxPC Desktop PC
HP HP ENVY 750-4xx Desktop PC
HP ENVY x360 15m Convertible
HP ENVY x360 15 Convertible
HP ENVY 13
HP ENVY 17
HP ENVY 17m
HP ENVY 750-6xx Desktop
HP ENVY 750-6xx Desktop PC
but does not list the author's "HP Envy 27". Sigh.
Anyway, try the update, to see if the above list is just "incomplete".

Read elsewhere about disabling "app readiness". Did that and have restarted 4 times, all ok and working fine. Going out, will try again later and report back.
