HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-3000i (4M0K0AV)

Brand new HP Desktop Pavillion freezes and sometimes buzzes dozens of times in one day. Only if I am actively downloading large files and streaming videos can I sometimes avoid it freezing at its whim. Having said that it still freezes, but I have a better chance of getting something done before it locks up again. Even the clock freezes. Did I get a lemon? I have done the f2 check. I have checked for updates with the HP Support Assistant. I have gone to HP's website to download any updates they show on their website. I am ready to have them take this back and ship me a new one. If this is an issue others have I may want to completely avoid HP products. I can't even access paying to have HP support this piece of junk. I only get a 404.

If I could manage to respond to this without the computer freezing I would be so happy. Okay I don't get a blue or a blank screen. Whatever is currently up on the screen is what shows. I have walked away from the computer for 15 minutes or more and it is still frozen. The give away is if the computer clock on the bottom right of the screen stops advancing. No error messages of any kind. No specific time limit on when it will occur either. We have tried all you suggested and the computer still freezes.

Do you have any other questions or suggestions?

I followed the steps you outlined followed by updating everything Windows and everything available from HP even the bios. As soon as we paused a streaming video long enough to answer a phone call it froze. I do not get a blue screen or a error screen or even a blank screen. The display just freezes. I keeps showing whatever was displayed when it froze. No response from any input. The only way to restart is to hold the power button. It took three attempts to type this message and post.
