As you have said that you have removed all your data; may I ask you that how you have removed them? My point of view for asking this is, that there are plenty of data recovery software available online such as Stellar Phoenix software available at https://www.stellarinfo.com/windows-data-recovery-professional.php, Recuva(available at https://www.piriform.com/recuva), which can easily recover your data even after formatting the system.


So, I advise you to use a data erasure software such as Bitraser, Blanco Drive Eraser, etc. for completely wiping your data and secure your data from misuse.

Hi Oliver

My personal data is not relevant as I don't need it and the PC will be used by my daughter.

I just wanted it refreshed, with hindsight I should have just created a new user and deleted the old one as I didn't realize the fresh the PC option would kill it.

Will try to restore from backup over the weekend and go from there
