We have moved and I'm setting my computer up, plugged it in and all it in, turned it on and all it does is beets with a black screen then a message appears then shuts off

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

An "unsupported adapter" is a strange error which provides zero guidance on how to solve the problem. I also see a keyboard error in your image.

 

I would shut down the PC. Unplug everything including disconnecting the PC from AC power. Wait for five to ten minutes.

 

Reconnect everything to see if this helps.
