PAVILION B&O
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The computer, Windows 10 home, was downloading an automatic update from MICROSOFT the screen went black and it beeped three times, multiple tones  and shut down. The PRODUCT number is V8P37AAA, PAVILION B7) and the SERIAL NUMBER is [Personal Information Removed]. The screen is black, beeping tones and no power light when the power button is activated.. MICROSOFT is no help in rebooting the computer. Is there a solution?

I tried the advice provided in the reply to my original submission. Thank you for your time and assistance.

@KR71

Please provide a HP PC product number only (Link).

Was the automatic update from HP or Microsoft? Losing my train of thought, you did specify Microsoft, sorry about that.

Try tapping "ESC" at startup to get to the HP UEFI Startup Menu.

Run Diagnostics.

You may have a hardware problem if the PC cannot boot to the Startup Menu or is totally unresponsive (No startup sounds or chassis LED activity).

Hi,

Oops, you did provide a product number. Still can't find your PC using V8P37AAA. How old?

You should remove the serial number.

@KR71,

Is this your computer?

@Grzwacz,

Taking a guess at one to many "A".   It is all yours, OK?

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

Jump in with ideas.

It sounds like a hardware problem if @KR71 can't get to the HP UEFI Startup screen to run diagnostics. One must identify the problem source before one can troubleshoot the problem.

It is possibly coincidental a potential hardware problem happened in the middle of a Microsoft update.

A possible BIOS three beep error code occurred.

A 2016 PC having a 3.3 beep BIOS error is possible graphics card failure (Link).
