HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0004ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently discovered an extremely mind-boggling behavior on my desktop (HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0004ng) regarding the lighting (green LED at the bottom) and the system fan.

The OMEN Command Center (v 10.2.8.0) allows me to configure the green LED on the bottom of my machine to "Static", "Animation" and "Off". However, this option all of a sudden affects the system fan of my desktop. If I turn off the LED via OMEN Command Center, the system fan stops spinning. If I turn it back on, the fan starts again. I have no idea on how those to things are related.

I noticed this problem after updating to the latest BIOS version F.22 Rev.A (ROM 8643).

Can anyone else reproduce this problem?

Hi !

I confirm the same problem with TG01-0090nf wich comes wth same motherboard (bios F22).

The problem persists with the latest OMEN Command Center (v 10.2.14.0) and lightening module disabled physically (cable disconnected from motherboard).

I can't remember if the problem already exists with F11 bios.

@Mixxle Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the Controlling the lighting in OMEN Command Center disables the system fan.

In that case, please rollback the previous version of the BIOS and check.

Turn off the computer and turn on and perform the below steps.

Press the  Windows key and then followed by the key "B" this time and then the power button for around 3-4 seconds, then release the power button and continue to hold windows+B for 3-4 seconds more.
