The error message is correct. My keyboard at my desktop stopped working; it is connected via USB. I took the keyboard to another computer and it works. I tried to use different USB ports and cannot get the keyboard to work. I restarted the computer multiple times. At one of the restarts I entered in program mode. I clicked check components, keyboard. When I typed on the component check keys using my actual keyboard. when I clicked continue I received a message showing that there is an error and gave me the above error message for me to give to hp support. I cannot sign in to the computer because none of our keyboards work with the desktop.  Before the computer closed out the last time, i did uninstall the keyboard and then reinstalled the device.

My computer's warranty is expired. I paid for the individual member support $14.99? a month.

I have indicated to you here, the possibility of contacting hp if you have an extended warranty
Unfortunately you seem lost!
If you're under warranty, you shouldn't have to pay for a repair.
