How do I replace hard drive in PC with a spare hard drive out of a laptop computer so 2.5inch. I didn't back up the 3.5 inch hard drive - how do I reload windows 10? Not sure of the serial code for windows 10. Thanks John

The W10 product key is encrypted in your PC's BIOS.
You don't need the product key to reinstall W10.
You can use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media with.

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store.

Since you have to use the utility on another PC, you will need to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery media.
Your PC's product number is: Y1B84EA#ABU
