Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

This desktop 2was not booting up windows on startup. I ran a components check and found the hard disk drive short had failed.

Following the check I got this message, "Failure ID : M0BTG2-7SWB14-PXPAMF-60UP03". I went to HP to find out if the PC is out

of warrenty. They won't even tell you what the failure ID means.

Hi:

Below is the failure report generated by the code you posted, minus your PC's serial number.

You will need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

Below is the link to the service guide where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

The product specs for your notebook indicate that it came with W10 from HP, not W8.1.

You can reinstall W10 for free by making a bootable USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

Your PC's warranty expired on December 15, 2017.
