Product: HP Pavilion 27-r014 All-in-One Desktop PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was trying to buy a anti virus and it required an update first so I updated. Then it went to a black screen with info on 8t. At the bottom it instructed me to press esc to start up but It didn't work.

Can you please be a little more descriptive? What happened? What did you expect to happen? What error-message(s) ? 

 

When powering-on the computer, do you get an option to launch the HP Diagnostics? If so, do so.

What happens if you do NOTHING for 60 seconds? Does the motherboard then start to load Windows from the "default" storage device?

 

Does your keyboard have a lamp that lights-up when the keyboard is receiving power (over USB) from the computer? Is that lamp on?

 

Have you tried a different keyboard?
