I have 2 HP 27-CR0000A's - One has a boot sector fault and will not boot.
I am trying to contact HP unfortunately I am unable to get the machines serial number.
This is my last resort. I want to buy the recovery disk/USB.

HELP PLEASE!

Hi:

Use the HP cloud recovery tool on the working 27-CR0000a to make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with the PC.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media on.

You can install the HP cloud recovery tool from the Microsoft Store.

Hi Paul,

Many thanks for your reply. Appreciate your comments.

Unfortunately, there were no disks or software provided.
The other machine is not on the same site as this one.
I have run some utilities and have found windows corrupt,

in addition the boot sector is missing. It appears not to be like

older MBR'S as I have restored these before. Have run HIRENS,

from USB, confirms. Unable to fix the booth sector.

Going to run GParted to see if I can repair the boot sector.
Unfortunately, I am unable to contact HP, unless I can get the serial number.
It is almost time to purchase a new SSD and install WIN11 again.
The machine is fairly new, I do not have time to send it back for repair.

Sorry a bit old school, I would like to talk to someone.

I am willing to pay HP for the recovery software.

Appreciate again your reply.

You're very welcome.

Since this is a peer-to-peer forum and we don't work for or represent HP, the only suggestion I can offer would be to start at the link below for how to get in touch with HP.

If you have another PC, you can always clean install W11 by making a bootable USB flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below (2nd option).

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

Then you can install the drivers and available software from the PC's support page.

Cheers,
