I'm trying to update my older pc, HP 6300 SFF, with a pcie nvme ssd. It is functional but doesn't boot. I know there is a work around, just don't know where to start. I've already flashed my bios with the most current version software, but that didn't seem to change much.

The bios editor suggests booting from UEFI is an option, but I can't see the ssd (or nvme) in this list of boot options.

Please help.

Hi:

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee you can get a NVMe SSD to boot in your PC.

See this discussion for the software you need to use.

The 8300 Elite is the upscale version of the 6300 Pro.

I suspected as such.  Difficult to work around, not impossible.   Thanks
