we are seeing the device encryption support for all our HP G4 800 Elitedesk showing under msinfo32 as 'Reason for failed automatic device encryption ; Un-allowd DMA capable bus/device detected." Opening up a case with Microsoft, they asked to find the device id so that we can add in to the registry

How do we find out these information ?

Microsoft asked to find the Device ID

Shame on them -- they should have told you how to find it.

1. Hold down the "Windows" key (bottom left corner of your keyboard)

2. Tap the "E" key, once, and then release that held-down key.

3. Windows Explorer will open.

4. Down the left-edge, look for something like "My Computer".

5. Click with the second (usually the right-side) mouse-button, and choose "Properties".

Does this display the Device ID?

Hello - sorry my question was more about which device is causing conflict.

Within Device Manager, expand the "USB" section, to see which USB devices are connected. Does that give you any "hint" ?
