HP ENVY Laptop - 13-ba0002na
Microsoft Windows 11

Looks like a number of people have also had this issue 😞 where the hinge (screen / lid  - keyboard / base) is starting to come away on the left hand side. Concern is the two parts (lid to base) will come apart completely and make the laptop unusable. I only bought the laptop a couple years ago, and now out of warranty. Surprised and bit annoyed these models are still being sold after years of this issue being raised 😞 I add that mine has also never been dropped, banged, and always used on a hard surface. It has not been excessively used either! Is there anyway it can be repaired?

Hi @SNov,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.

I see that there is an issue with the laptop hardware and may need repair.

The support here is limited and this issue might require one-on-one interaction to fix it.
