HP Omen Desktop KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED BSOD

apparently there's a "fix" available from Windows Update for some HP users in the form of an “HP Software Component 4.1.4.3079” driver.  can Hewlett-Packard (HP) confirm this?

Cause 1: Faulty RAM module
