HP PAvilion a6403w - retired product and I'm looking for bios to reflash

HP Recommended
Pavilion a6403w

20210311_082836 (1).jpgHello All,

I've been given an older retired product, an HP Pavilion a6403w.   When I power it on, the screen width is all messed up and shows only a character width of 1.  (yes, so all the text on only on the 1st line of the monitor and scrolls by pretty fast)...

I thought perhaps I should reflash the bios but I cannot seem to find it anywhere.  Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Here are the details:

HP Pavilion A6403w

Moherboard is N15235.

Thanks much!

ce

Hi:

The only place I know of where you can get BIOS and driver files for that PC would be from this reputable 3rd party website.

Download HP Pavilion a6403w drivers for Windows Vista, BIOS and firmware (helpjet.net)

I downloaded the file and used the free 7-zip utility to extract the exe file into a folder.

This is a copy and paste of the BIOS update info for that BIOS update...
